Ah it’s the New Year once again!

Ah it’s the New Year once again!  Time to get out those ideas and plans for the upcoming year.  This can be a very stressful activity once we begin cataloging all of the things we’d like to get done in the next 12 months!  Here are some ideas to break that massive list into a manageable plan and at the same time employ some well-known stress-relieving activities.

1.  Did you know the simple activity of writing is a stress reliever?  It is a calming activity that allows one to focus on a single thing which alleviates the stressful feelings associated with that larger list of To Do’s bearing down on us!  Write your objectives into a quarterly timeline to use throughout the year.  Remember you may be making updates to this as the year progresses, but it will make things much easier to execute if they are on a schedule.

2.  Do something you enjoy!  This is always a great way to relieve stress!  To relate this activity to your 2015 plan, choose the tasks that you enjoy the most from the plan and as much as possible ensure they are scheduled at the most stressful times during the quarter.  It will provide a little reprieve from the stress involved in executing rest of the plan!

3.  Keep your body healthy!  We all know that fitness is a wonderful way to relieve stress and renew our ability to focus mentally on the tasks at hand.  Make sure you have time in your day to focus on your physical well-being.  Need some ideas for at home short workouts?  Feel free to look at our #SundaySets on the Fit4Mom Denver Foothills facebook page.  Don’t forget to like and share the page while you’re there!
