The Golden Farmers Market will be opening on June 6th. The Golden Farmers Market will be open each Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. through October 3rd.
We will be following strict guidelines and protocols so please be patient and know that the market will look very different from prior years. The number of vendors has been greatly reduced and only includes businesses selling products deemed “essential”. Guests are asked to wear masks in order to keep everyone safe and to ensure that the market can stay open until October. We will be limiting the amount of people within the market at any given time so please be patient if you must wait your turn to enter the market.

Founded in 2001, the Golden Farmers Market was designed by the Chamber as a means of bringing people to downtown Golden. The Market was originally held off Washington Avenue where the parking structure now resides. In 2006 the Chamber moved their Market to the parking lot next to the Golden Library where it has been presented for the past 11 years. The Golden Farmers Market is an assembly of vendors in an outdoor public market style, offering produce, food products, prepared cuisine, beverages, vendors, promotional opportunities, entertainment, and other related events as a means of supporting our members, community, city, and a healthy lifestyle.
In 2017 with the support of Centura Health, Jefferson County Public Health, LiveWell Colorado, and Colorado Fresh Markets, our Golden Farmers Market became certified to accept Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits. Many Coloradans rely on food assistance programs like SNAP (formerly known as food stamps), which serves more than 485,000 Coloradans a month. However, most SNAP recipients receive only $1.41 per meal or $4.23 per day in benefits, making it a challenge to have enough money to buy food for the whole month.

o address this issue, and to help build food security in Golden, the Golden Farmers Market accepts SNAP benefits and Double Up Food Bucks. Double Up Food Bucks allows SNAP shoppers to bring home free fruits and vegetables when they use SNAP at the farmers market. When customers spend $1 on any SNAP-eligible item (meat, bread, eggs, milk, etc.), they receive $1 for Colorado-grown fresh fruits and vegetables. It is a $1:$1 match so if you spend $5, you get $5. If you spend $10, you get $10, up to $20 every week at our market.
Community Showcase Booths
The Golden Chamber offers local businesses and nonprofits a free opportunity to reserve a showcase booth for one Saturday during the Market season. First come, first served. Must be a Golden Chamber of Commerce member. Non-member businesses are encouraged to apply and will be waitlisted in case of cancellations.

The Golden Chamber of Commerce is pleased to offer its members the opportunity to have a FREE business spotlight booth at the Golden Farmers Market. This opportunity is INFORMATION ONLY. No sales of any kind are permitted in the free business spotlight booth. There is only one space available for each week of the market. This means a total of 18 available spots. These spots are on a first-come, first-served basis. These are reserved for Golden Chamber of Commerce members in good standing. All spots are full for the 2019 market.
