CEO and President
Golden Chamber of Commerce
A Message From The Golden Chamber CEO
During this past year the Golden Chamber has delivered on promises made by creating and implementing new opportunities for our Members to promote their businesses, make new connections, and increase their on-line visibility. Our new website GoldenChamber.org which launched in spring of 2016, provides an easy access to our Member Directory and enables our Members to announce their Hot Deals and their own business happenings.
Our newly designed and implemented Behind the Scenes Tours offers Chamber Members the opportunity to showcase their businesses. These tours are open to both Members and Non-Members as a means of generating awareness for our Golden Chamber Businesses. Our newly designed and implemented Coffee Connections, hosted by Café 13, provides our Members a round table discussion with educational and informational opportunities. Our Quarterly Member Luncheons, held at The Briarwood Inn, include guest speakers on current topics of interest and are open to Members and Non-Members.
Along with Member Events the Golden Chamber presents many special events for the general public. Our signature event, Golden Fine Arts Festival, is one of the most prestigious Art Shows in the country. This lovely two-day event is enjoyed by over 35,000 people and the success of this event goes to the dedication of our volunteer committee working in unison with Chamber staff.
Our Golden Farmers Market, a noted Trademark event for the Greater Golden Chamber of Commerce, will continue this year to provide fresh produce, baked goods, and specialty booths. In partnership with Colorado Fresh Markets we are proud supporters of the Jefferson County SNAP Program.
This December marks the 30th Annual Candlelight Walk presented by the Golden Chamber and it is sure to be a celebration of Golden’s history and our future. It is with much appreciation that the Golden Chamber continues to Light the Lights in partnership with the City of Golden. Our holiday events bring people into Golden and we hope they will return again for shopping, dining, and experiencing the cultural and outdoor recreational activities offered throughout the year.
For over fifteen years Golden has been my home and our family continues to enjoy all Golden has to offer those who live, work, and visit this beautiful area. I am thankful for the privilege to work in collaboration with a talented Board of Director’s, putting forth efforts in support of all of our local businesses and our community-at-large. I am blessed with the benefit of working alongside many gracious volunteers who willingly give of their time and talents to enable others to experience the beauty, activities, historical attractions, dinning, and shopping in the town “Where the West Lives”.
